Meet the Team
Mike founded Mike King & Associates two years ago to provide analysis and insight into the transport and logistics industry. MKA is currently employed as the lead South East Asia investigator for a leading risk analysis company and also includes Logisym Events, DHL, Centrolene, China Merchants, Unimar, APL and The Rockefeller Foundation among its current or recent corporate clients.
In two decades as a logistics and shipping journalist, Mike has edited many of the sector’s leading publications and is a regular contributor to Lloyd’s Loading List, Air Cargo News, Forwarder, Dry Cargo International, Fairplay, Safety at Sea, Port Strategy, Ports & Harbors and World Grain.
He won the Seahorse News Journalist of the Year award for 2017 and in the same year was also runner-up in the Features Journalist of the Year category for an article on Transformational Logistics. He was also shortlisted for the 2017 Supply Chain Journalist of the Year category, an award he won outright in 2016. Mike was also named the 2013 News Journalist of the Year and 2012 Air Cargo Journalist of the Year by the respected Seahorse Club.
Mike previously set up and managed the Asia office for a boutique logistics consultancy and over the last two decades has contributed to multiple industry reports on the maritime and forwarding sectors.
Mike travels extensively and has a wide network of contacts which is continually expanding in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Cathy Morrow Roberson, has over 15 years of experience in the logistics market including ten years with UPS Supply Chain and several years with specialized consulting firms. Besides being quoted in numerous publications including Wall Street Journal, Reuters and Bloomberg, Cathy also has published numerous articles in such publications as Air Cargo World, CIO Review and Baltic Transport Journal and is a regular contributor to Cold Chain IQ.
A big fan of all things supply chain, Cathy has a particular interest in e-commerce, cold chain logistics, air and ocean freight, freight forwarding and industry-specific logistics.
Reby works in PR, Marketing and Research for Mike King & Associates. She handles all our marketing requirements: gathering data, compiling databases and composing marketing materials. Through her research and writing on logistics and supply chain companies she is familiar with the current market and its challenges which enables her to compile marketing packages. With her background in events she is perfectly placed to assist companies with their participation at logistics shows across Asia and the Middle East. She also has extensive experience in PR–generating coverage in all available and appropriate forms of media–copywriting and marketing and is a whizz at multitasking.
Ceri has worked in the transport, logistics and shipping industries for 15 years both in sales and events and has a broad understanding of the logistics sector and the current challenges it faces. Currently Ceri is working with logistics companies to increase their marketing ROI. Having set up and run a company in emerging Asia, she is uniquely experienced in building relationships and problem solving.
John’s business publishing career spans 25 years and, having started his working life in Shipping and Freight Forwarding, he remains passionate about the broader Logistics industry.
Born in Essex, UK, and having sales-managed extensively in Europe and the USA for Lloyd’s List, John now resides in Singapore, via Dubai where he launched the region’s first dedicated shipping magazine, reflecting his ability to embrace differing global markets and business cultures.
John takes pride in developing profitable and rewarding partnerships and offers a vast range of marketing expertise across print and electronic media, conferences, exhibitions, awards events and more.
In his spare time John continues his lifelong support of West Ham United ‘through thick and thin’, albeit from afar, but is more actively involved with the charitable work of the Mission to Seafarers Singapore, having recently hosted HRH Princess Anne in a major fundraiser there.
